P!NK'S AMWAY CENTER CONCERT IN ORLANDO LEAVES THE AUDIENCE IN AWE AND WANTING MORE...

P!NK BRINGS HER SUMMER CARNIVAL TOUR TO THE AMWAY CENTER IN ORLANDO FLORIDA

Having seen Pink in concert before, I knew that thewre was no way that I was going to miss her latest tour. Torrential Florida rains flooded out the arena parking lot in our first attempt to see her in Sunrise, FL. And we were unable to access the arena. When all hope was lost, we saw that Pink was doing two shows in Orlando and decided to make the three hour journey as the threat of rain was well past us .

Arriving to the Amway arena, Saturday night, we came upon a beautiful venue with covered parking. Lines were long and stretched far around the arena and down the block, but with a very organized system, it took about twenty minutes to enter the venue. Amway Center Arena had some of the best food choices I have had at venue in a long time. The arena also seemed to be a little smaller than other venues which, in my opinion, made the concert all the more intimate and any seat in the house was a good one. I am looking forward to seeing other events at this arena, albeit a three hour drive, but definitely worth the experience I had here.

We arrived early and decided to eat and relax. We were not familiar with the opening act Grouplove and wasn’t concerned with seeing their performance, although we could here them performing and now regret not seeing them as they sounded great. By the time we finished, DJ Kidcutup was in full swing and getting the venue pumped up for the show. The audience was out of their seats and dancing, feeling his vibe.

At 9:10 pm, Pink took to the stage via aerial acrobatics about fifty feet above the stage to the tune “Get The Party Started”. That she did!

For most of this show, the crowd was out of their seats and dancing. “Raise Your Glass” saw many people holding up their drink of choice as she sang the obvious lyric. “Who Knew”, “Just Like A Pill”, “Try”, and “What About Us” were the song choices to round up the first act.

This tour has a circus-like atmosphere and set us up for an amazing night of song, pyrotechnics, aerial acrobats, and pink flamingos.

The show is broken up into five different acts and the stage transitions were seamless throughout. This is a greatest hits show, with six new selections from her new Trustfall album that include the songs “Trustfall”, “Turbulence”, “Kids In Love”, “When I Get There”, “Runaway”, and “Last Call”. During a very tender moment in the show, Pink introduses a special guest... Her daughter Willow Sage Hart. Pink and Willow did a duet with Willow singing the chorus in the song “Cover Me With Sunshine”, that has the melody constantly playing in my head. It is certainly infectious. After the tender performance, Pink could not help getting emotional and crying while hugging little Willow.

It is very easy to see that Pink spares no expense when it comes to her concert tours. She is all about her fans and it shows in her interactions with the audience. Pink will shake hands and high-five, sing directly to fans, and even converse with them. She is a music icon without the diva attitude and it clearly shows.

Aerial acrobatics is the star of this show. For those that are seeing Pink for the first time, you can see the look on their faces when she leaves the stage to take flight of pure excitement and joy. The time that she puts into training for this type of performance must be very intense and grueling. For Pink, I am sure it is all in a days work.

The concert continued with the songs “Just Like A Pill”, “Just Give Me A Reason”, “F**kin’ Perfect”, and Just Like Fire” which showed pyrotechnics like I have never seen before.

Pink’s show-closing encore ended the night with the appropriate “Last Call” and finished with “So What”. While there are only a couple of shows left for this current tour, I desperately urge you to experience it for yourself while you can. Tickets are still available for the remaining shows but go extremely fast as showtime approaches. Whether you are a huge Pink fan or just getting into her music, you will not be disappointed in the quality of performance, musicianship, vocals, and stage presence with a concert by Pink. See you at the next show.
