FOGHAT MAKES A THUNDEROUS APPEARANCE AT THE MAGIC CITY CASINO IN MIAMI SATURDAY NIGHT

Updated: 6 days ago

Since 1971, the legendary rock band Foghat has been playing to audiences around the world. Till now, Foghat has earned eight gold records, one platinum record, and one double-platinum record. The band has never stopped touring in all this time. With that being said, Foghat made a stop tonight at the Magic City Casino in Miami, and amid some torrential downpours, the boys in the band rocked the outdoor stage to some diehard fans that were happy to rock out with Foghat no matter the circumstances.

DRUMMER ROGER EARL

This was a great show! With so many of us grateful that live music is happening once again, this was such a treat to have Foghat & Grand Funk Railroad share the bill for this event. Foghat tipped their hat by taking the stage first and erupted into Drivin’ Wheel. Needless to say, the crowd jumped to their feet, sang along, bobbed their heads, and punched the sky. The set time was sixty three minutes and was packed with all of the great Foghat songs you would want to hear. The rain tonight was coming in waves. By now, the rain has tapered off a bit and the band is playing Fool For The City. Most of the crowd wet, but undeterred and stoked that Foghat came to Miami to saturate the live music drought that has plagued us in the last year-and-a-half due to the fallout of Covid-19. It seems that Mother Nature wanted to lend a hand as well.

SINGER/GUITARIST CHARLIE HUHN

Take Me To The River,I Just Want To Make Love To You, and Play That Funky Music was that rounded out the set list before the bands triumphant finale with the song, you guessed it, Slow Ride. The band was absolutely rockin’ the venue the entire time they played tonight, but when the boys hit the first chord, the band went into overdrive and played harder than before. The crowd, ecstatic to finally hear Slow Ride played a group of amazingly talented musicians that came to give it all to their fans, no matter the weather conditions. That they did… and sounding better than ever!!

FINAL BOW -CHARLIE HUHN, RODNEY O'QUINN, ROGER EARL, BRYAN BASSETT
