BUT THESE STYX WERE HERE TO ROCK!!!

Dania Beach, FL.-

Where were you last night? If you were not at the STYX concert at the Casino At Dania Beach, then you were nowhere. With a warm and fuzzy welcome, South Florida hosted one of the best classic rock bands to ever take a stage. With passion and commitment, STYX rocked the house and left the crowed wanting more.

The band takes the stage to a roaring audience and opens up with the classic "Blue Collar Man". Lead singer and guitarist Tommy Shaw's range and vocals are on-point and superb. Along with band members

James “JY” Young, Chuck Panozzo, Todd Sucherman, Lawrence Gowan, and Ricky Phillips, this night promises to be filled with great music and good times.

This show is a virtual greatest-hits show. All of the great STYX songs that you grew up to were all featured here tonight. Here is the set list for tonight's show...

SET LIST-

Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)

  1. Play Video

  2. (Leonard Cohen cover)

  3. Encore:

  4. Encore 2:

After forty minutes of straight, great rock n' roll, the band took a break while keyboardist/vocalist Lawrence Gowan entertained the crowd. This guy could host a show all by himself. With unending energy and fantastic vocals, Gowan led the audience on a musical journey with selections by other artists. Some of the songs Gowan played included were Elton John's "Rocket Man', Queens "Bohemian Rhapsody", and "Hallelujah", an emotional tribute to the late, great Leonard Cohen. Befitting of this night, and with the Holiday's rapidly approaching, Gowan included a snippet of the "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies".

The band returned to perform two encores that included the favorites "Come Sail Away", "Rockin' The Paradise", and "Renegade". This was one unbelievable night of music and entertainment. If you have never seen STYX in concert before, you are surely missing out.
